In the next part of the journey, the Miʿraj, ascended into heaven, where he individually greeted the prophets and later spoke to God, who gave Muhammad (saw) instructions to take back to the Muslims regarding the details of prayer. Here the prophet (saw) witnessed amazing things that Jibril displayed to him including Paradise and the inhabitants of Hell. On the prophet's return, he was to face the daunting task of telling the Meccans about his Journey, which cast great doubt over his prophethood.
