“I recently started following you on IG, found your almost by accident. It’s amazing how life works in mysterious ways, I’m going through a roller coaster of feelings at this point of my life that involves many aspects of it.
As an Immigrant from Mexico and under the Protection of DACA I managed to go to college and graduated in the career that I wanted. Not only I became a registered nurse with English as a second language, but I proved my dad wrong for not believing that I can be successful, I also got into the type of nursing position I wanted (ICU), I also got hired at the hospital I always wanted to work for, I also passed their intense 9 month training to become an ICU nurse, yet I feel unaccomplished. Why? Because I feel that I’m at this point in my life but I don’t even know if I deserve it. I feel that there’s people that know way more than I do, yet they haven’t accomplished half of what I’ve done. And I’ve been very depressed about it. Then I came into your podcast and you are helping me understand that it’s ok to enjoy my victories, and give myself credit for who am I as a person and as a professional saving lives at work everyday at one of the best hospital in Los Angeles County!
So thank you for giving me the knowledge to understand that it is ok NOT to be perfect, for that’s what makes us human beings. You have no idea what listening to your podcast made me realized. Thank you!”
