This book also contains journal entries that describe her journey with liver cancer. These entries really moved me especially to think about fear and agency in the face of a devastating medical prognosis. Audre Lorde was a poet and this book as well as her interviews that are available on YouTube have convinced me to dabble more in reading that genre.
