“A church that I was very fortunate to attend through my challenging teenage years, Light of the World Church is truly a temple of God. At first I resented attending but little by little I warmed up. The activities and events set up for the youth groups were amazing! Being able to meet and share with JoAnn Pierri before her passing humbled me. She was a great person and relatable during youth events. I remember her rolling down a grassy slope with the girls during one of our retreats. I connected with many of the girls who had recently moved to PA as well.
LWC did not push me to become devoted although receiving responsibilities within the church helped with my rebellious attitude significantly. I was able to participate in a play, attend and help in the church's parade, help with the nursing and children's care centers during services, and had the opportunity to attend a turkey distribution event on Thanksgiving Day for those members of the community who were less fortunate during the holiday season.
Fast forward a few years, I now live in The Bronx but am seriously considering moving back so that my partner and I could grow as a couple before God and raise our baby daughter in this wonderful and fruitful environment.”
