Description
Today on the show: Before we find out how Stephanie paid off her debt, we’ll start the show with our “No Dumb Questions” segment. Professor Emeritus at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Author of Teachers Can Be Financially Fit, Economist Mark Schug or as we lovingly call him Grandpa Mark is here today. We’ll reflect on the pandemic. What money lessons it’s taught us. Plus, he gives us his take on Janet Yellen who is close to becoming the first woman to serve as treasury secretary. Sometimes it’s just a few bad money decisions that cause your finances to get out of control. That’s what happened to Stephanie Schifano. She and her husband are highly educated, conservative spenders and actually good with budgeting. But, it was just a few unfortunate circumstances which were out of their control and a few bad money decisions that got them into an overwhelming amount of debt. Stephanie is passionate about sharing her story of HOW she paid off $32,000 in 14 months. Hoping it will help others to be inspired to do the same. Stephanie’s financial advisor Julie Hears also joins in on the conversation. She gives us the biggest mistakes most people make, the important money rules we should follow and what we need to ask and look out for when selecting a financial advisor. We end the show like we always do, we’ll take “A Seat at the Kid’s Table.” Are the holidays the ONE time of the year you spoil your kids with almost everything they want?
