Description
`Today on the show: Before we chat with Denisse about coming away from the pandemic with more clarity and confidence, we'll start the show with our "No Dumb Questions" segment. A lot of people have questions about the new Child Tax Credit that was included in the American Rescue Plan. Professor Emeritus at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Author of Teachers Can Be Financially Fit economist Mark Schug aka Grandpa Mark explains WHO will benefit from it. WHEN you can expect the money and HOW LONG will it last. Click here for the Kiplinger calculator Mark referred to. She is a She-Cession Success Story! Denisse Espalter, like so many other working moms were hit financially hard during the pandemic. Many are calling this recession a SHEcession because of the disporportionate number of women who have been directly impacted. Whether it be due to the fact they work in the industries most impacted or they were "forced" to walk away from their jobs or cut their hours to tend to the family at home. Denisse is a testament to that as she was working for one of the oldest and most recognized department stores Lord & Taylor, as a Regional Marketing and Events manager. Covid hit and in March of 2020 she lost that amazing job. Feeling lost as she was home now, wearing multiple hats as a mother of 3 girls, a teacher at best with kids being homeschooled, a therapist assisting her children with what the new norm was for all of us. Launching a new business and testing positive for Covid and dealing with the crumbling effect. How to overcome the covid crumble! Denisse is the founder of Unboxed Life & Style, a lifestyle brand. She also coaches and inspires people on how to take their life experiences and learn how to evolve. Is it ok to raise the price when an item is in high demand?" Susan Beacham Founder of Money Savvy Generation has a great way to explain supply and demand. A powerful budgeting lesson for kids.
