SHAD recently organized a panel called “Missing Numbers – Looking at How Girls and Women Can Help Solve Canada’s Innovation Crisis” at the Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC 2017) in Ottawa. SHAD Fellows of all ages shared their experiences and what policy makers can learn from that. In the third and final episode in this series, listen in as Winnica Beltrano discusses the importance of female mentorship programs, Dr. Melanie Martin shares her concerns about the lack of available programs to help propel women in STEM in Canada and Erin Engelhardt speaks of the emotional journey of creating anything great.
