SHAD recently organized a panel called “Missing Numbers – Looking at How Girls and Women Can Help Solve Canada’s Innovation Crisis” at the Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC 2017) in Ottawa. SHAD Fellows of all ages shared their experiences and what policy makers can learn from that. In the second episode, listen in as SHAD Fellow Sarah Gauthier weighs in on the struggles experienced by First Nations women as they pursue STEM education. Director of Futurpreneur BC and Founder of Young Women in Business, Paulina Cameron discusses the biases that lead to a lack of funding for women entrepreneurs.
