Twice the advertising half the quality
This is based on one episode. I have no desire to increase my sample size as I expect the issues to be systemic to the show. The show was to do with being prepared for redundancy and overall financial resilience. It was a 30 minute show that consisted of either 4 or 5 advertisements for a decidedly questionable investment product. Assuming that each advertisement was 30 seconds it means that appropriately 10% of the show was (very tacky) advertising. The actual content was poor. It seemed to focus on outcomes rather than strategies to get to said outcomes so pretty much a waste of time. Yes you should have money saved, even the most financially illiterate person knows this, a show like this should be providing strategies to get from A-B. I may be biased as I am financially literate, but god help the poor women who listen to this expecting to be enlightened. If anything will increase the gender gap in terms of investing and good financial management, it’s shows like this.

I love getting all types of views on managing finances. I don’t necessarily agree with all the advise but appreciate the advice. This podcast covers great topics.
