Episode 14 She Speaks Spoken Word Poetry: May Your Words
Listen now
Description
Intro: Welcome to Episode 14. As I jot down words and call it poetry, then speak them into life, I am enraptured by the power that words can have in this life. Can you tell I'm a lit major?! But seriously, considering how much impact words can have, words I often toss around carelessly, it makes me think twice before I open my mouth. Personally, my filter between thinking and speaking is paper thin so this practice of writing before speaking helps me to slow down and take caution, reminding me that my words can yield two very polar results.   Closing: That one is called, May your words. Have you recently said something you regret? Or on the other end of the spectrum, can you recall a time where your simple words of encouragement or kindness, maybe a passing compliment, really made an impact? Before we send out more words into our surroundings, let's be aware of where and how those words will l land on the other end. On that note, I wonder how this podcast is being received on your end?
