Good, not great
They deleted my first review, so I‘ll try again….. I like a lot of different Sherlock Holmes adaptations, so I’m naturally inclined to like this. The pacing and the voice acting is very good. The music is also excellent. Many of the elements in the stories that have been modernized are effective, but some are not. The whole ‘true crime podcaster” bit gets old very quickly. There are just SO MANY extraneous noises (apparently demonstrating Watson’s ineptitude at podcasting), and they detract from the story and performance most of the time. Sometimes it’s funny, but mostly, it’s just annoying. I think my biggest objection to this podcast is the characterization of Watson. I suppose it was inevitable that there would be a Sherlock adaptation where Holmes and Watson were millennials (sigh….), but wow — this version of Watson is incredibly dense and extremely whiny. My interest was somewhat piqued by the brief mention of Irene Adler in The Red-Headed League. I hope this character makes a substantial appearance at some point!

More reviews of Sherlock & Co.
Always on the look out for engaging new podcasts and somehow came across this and I love it already. Such a great concept abd I love the characterisation updates.

Can’t believe that somebody’s come up with yet another version, but two episodes in and I’m already hooked
