“So far, I am enjoying this immensely. It is definitely a modern take on the stories, but so far they have remained loyal to the essence of the stories. And they have done that in a very enjoyable way. I am a bit worried that as the series goes on, they will stray further and further away, as quite often happens (see the bbc Sherlock), but if they stay true to the essence of the stories, this should be a great series, even for purists like me. Edit: just heard the end of the noble bachelor, and although it was done pretty well, they did make a material change. Hoping that will not be the standard.”
