Raised by his grandmother, Amos went to school in Marobela andĀ  became really good at football/soccer. But when one teacher at McConnell college, Mr. Mafefe, encouraged him to try Track & Field, that's when he met his first plot point, his life took another turn, into the second act. He thenĀ  rose to become one of the great olympians of our time. Nijel became a champion at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, finishing in a new championship record of 1:43.79. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, Amos won a silver medal in the men's 800m race, the first Olympic medal for his country. Got injured in 2013. He returned in 2014, beating rudisha twice. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Amos won the 800 meter Gold medal in 1:45.18. He is looking for his first olympic gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
