RT Drops the ball
I’ve been an RT fan for almost 12 years now, the company’s been changing and I’ve really enjoyed the direction the podcast department of RT has gone with Black Box Down and Red Web. Both of which present an interesting subject with appropriate research, respect, and humour. That leads us to Ship Hits The Fan… not only are they talking about the deaths of people, be it a long time ago, with cringeworthy jokes but the research is paper thin and it sounds like the host is reading Wikipedia while the other two make jokes about, for example, dead children sh**ing themselves in brown water. Quite frankly, I can’t see myself coming back for another episode after slogging through the first. Red Web and Black Box Down won’t be leaving my rotation anytime soon but i advise people to steer clear and hopefully pressure RT into a change of direction with Ship Hits The Fan to save what’s an interesting concept.

The first episode of this had me hooked (boat-related pun not intended but totally embraced). It’s both a fascinating look at the logistical errors that can lead to disaster, and a delightful romp. I think the narration is amazing!

Love this show, love the hosts. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into each episode. Mad love to Charlotte and Patrick, two of RT’s brightest gems.

Charlotte! Patrick! Brian! It’s like inside gaming never went away. The stories are tragic. The humour is on point. Can’t stop listening. I even told my mom!
