Surprisingly anti-science?
Only listened to the vaping episode, and I’m disappointed in the lack of actual science in this podcast. Even more disappointing- the show used the “appeal to nature” fallacy (flavors aren’t made with actual fruit, therefore they must be bad) and propagated the “scary chemicals” rhetoric. I wanted to understand what the evidence shows wrt vaping and I came away worried that is is just going to be another “pop science” podcast that hurts rather than helps the public’s understanding of science.

More reviews of Short Wave
I’ve always loved anything from NPR, and Short Wave doesn’t disappoint! The hosts are entertaining, the content is always interesting, and the shorter segment is great because I’m more likely to listen while driving. 👍🏼👍🏼
