In 1988, a young couple buy their first home in a tiny city in the US state of Georgia. Everything seems perfect, until their three-year-old daughter becomes very invested in an imaginary friend, an elderly man named 'Mr Gordy'. The parents chalk it up to loneliness but as things start to get increasingly unsettling, they can no longer deny that something very strange is happening inside their house... and with their daughter.
