Filmmakers of the future: Meeting Lammas Park
Listen now
Description
Lammas Park is an award-winning film and TV production company founded by Sir Steve McQueen. They've recently collaborated with Canon on two short films by a pair of exciting young directors, who join host Lucy Hedges on the show today.  Jade Ang Jackman and Samona Olanipekun have very different styles, but they've both made terrific, visually-stunning short films. Jade's is about a Suffragette self defence group, while Samona's is about a man wrestling with himself both physically and metaphorically.  They are also joined by Lammas Parks' New Business Manager Mia Powell, who is here to guide us through the project and explain the company's ethos and why Canon and Lammas Park make for such a strong partnership. Sustainability, diversity and the future of filmmaking are hot topics of discussion in this fascinating episode.
