She played in various leagues around the world, including the first Israeli to play in the WNBA , where she played for the New York Liberty. Additioally Shay won a Eurocup championship in 2011/2012 with Ramla and was captain of the Israeli national team. Before full time investing Shay got her masters in Busines, was a founder of a sports tech startup, and worked at SVB on the venture debt team.
