“Whenever a new episode of this podcast shows up in my feed, whatever else I'm watching or listening to goes on pause. This podcast is hilarious, I have gotten several funny looks as I burst into spontaneous laughter in public or at work while listening to this show in my headphones. This (and their other podcasts) are the best TV related podcasts I listen to.
My two favorite things about this podcasts are:
1. They are real. They don't hold back so they can have a "family friendly" podcast. Even though Sistah J occasionally drops a GD which seems to annoy Sistah K, it still happens because that's just Sistah J and what she feels is the right thing to say at the time. I appreciate the candid conversation among adults that ocassionaly includes adult language. And that being said I enjoy the candid nature of the podcast. It's like having a conversation with friends about the show instead of listening to someone read their point by point notes. It's even cool that they soemtimes get things wrong or forget and tell people to write in and tell them.
2. They read every single e-mail and play every voicemail their listeners send them. This is a level of respect for the community that is not usually found in podcasts. Even if it inconviences them (having to record in two sessions) or results in a long podcast, they make sure everyone is heard.
If you are looking for a community around a show you love, check out the Sistahs, and don't worry if you're not a Sistah or a Brotha, all are welcome. Their audience is extremely diverse and frequently interact with each other through their comments and their facebook page.”
