Today's guest experienced a 3 week loss of her baby and describes how traumatic it was to leave the hospital empty handed.  Dominque Simmons shares how her journey to adopting a plant based diet helped her after experiencing reflux issues and having her galbladder removed. Her holistic diet ande supplements helped her conceive.  Dominique decided to get a doula, midwife, then experienced a traumatic loss of her sister due to gun violence.  This led her to change her delivery to a home water birth unassisted.  In this episode, we talk about her journey to becoming more healthy after having stomach issues, how she feared having children due to the maternal mortality rates, and how she grieved the loss of her baby girl at 3 weeks old.
