“On the good side, it’s a great summary of the day’s news and outclasses TV News.
The downside is that the they used to keep a month’s podcasts available to download. Nowadays they only keep a week’s worth and, even worse, the send the episodes out in a way that old episodes are deleted. That could be understandable if they were running out of space on their servers but they are keeping years of episodes in their archives so it shouldn’t be too hard to maintain a month of episodes.
Why is that a problem? I keep up with the news through podcasts and I listen to them (arranged in a playlist) whilst I am at work. If I fall ill, I stop listening and then try to catch up whilst I am at work. Now, when it comes to an episode of this podcast, I have to stop working, so to the website, play the episode on that then go back to the playlist (ie interrupt my flow at work to work around the podcast situation).
It is a good podcast if you want to keep up with UK’s news but the shortening of the archive is annoying.”
