The Philadelphia 76ers fought until the end against the New York Knicks in Game 6, only to fall at the buzzer, 118-115 — putting a lid on the Sixers’ 2023-24 season. Joel Embiid battled throughout to finish with a team-high 39 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to get Philadelphia back to Madison Square Garden for a Game 7. Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson finished with a game-high 41 points and hit some big shots down the stretch in the fourth quarter to help them advance to the second round. Buddy Hield scored 20 off the bench, knocking down 6 of 9 from deep — Nic Batum added 16 with Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre chipping in 17 each. Rich Hofmann and Devon Givens discuss the season finale as the season closes with a first round exit. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
