Back to the Articles- Please?!!
I love Slate! Smart people writing about interesting issues (mostly). What I first loved about the podcasts was the 6 to 10 minute readings of the individual articles. I can listen to one on the drive to the mall and one on the way back. I found the Political Gabfest tolerable because it was more intelligent people talking about timely issues that interest me, however the increased time commitment, about 35 minutes, was a bit of a burden. I love the Political Gabfest. Still the other 4 days of the week I could listen to pithy well thought out arguments of Slate writers. Now there seems to be a different Gabfest variant 4 days a week and one article. I have smart friends I can gabfest with. I like hearing the articles. Love The Disrupters too, however, XX, Culture, Hang Up and Listen, and the Political Gabfest would all be better off as separate weekly podcast for their audiences. Back to reading us the articles. Enough of the chatter. And really, does anyone go to Slate for sports?

Especially the gabfests (cultural & political). Great banter and incredibly informative in a very digestible format. Plus, that Wilman guy has such an oddly appealing voice somehow.
