Slow Burn (never felt so good)
Outstanding. Episode 1 about Martha Mitchell 🎣 I’m hooked on the line. This work Slow Burn Ep. 1 drove me to join Slate Plus immediately afterwards. John Dickerson’s Whistlestop led me here. 👍🏻 👍🏻

It drives me NUTS when a great podcast is narrated by someone who speaks quickly and does not enunciate words properly. Maybe it’s just my ears but it’s an effort to listen.

The first episode was wise and engaging. The tale of Martha Mitchell is a story worth telling. She was a central character in Watergate but unfamiliar to many. I hope that the future episodes will be equally insightful.

A decidedly fresh take on an old subject. The parallels from Nixon to our current chief executive are frightening. A great piece of journalism. Congratulations.
