Description
The Metal Cell Podcast and The Smashing Skull Sessions have come together once again to showcase yet another one of Ireland's metal powerhouses. Raum kingdom are one of the finest sludge/post-metal bands on the scene today, and have been causing rumblings within music circles right here at home and further afield as well. Since the release of Everything And Nothing back in 2019, a lot has happened within the Raum Kingdom family. The sad and sudden passing of bassist Ronan "Bones" Connor back in 2021 shook the foundations of the band to the very core. Big decisions were made and with the addition of Niall Gregory, Raum Kingdom have done the right thing and have released Monarch, which, after a three year absence, has reestablished them as one of the finest bands on the scene today. Dave, Andrew, Mark and Niall join us for a really cool chat, where we discuss both the Irish and International metal scenes as well as getting an insight into the writing and recording process for the mighty Monarch. And of course there's plenty of laughs along the way! Available on both The Metal Cell & The Smashing Skull YouTube channels from Friday 24th February. You can also catch it on all good streaming platforms. Be sure to check it out!🖤🤘 Band Link: https://raumkingdom.bandcamp.com/album/raum-kingdom Track played: Red Admiral © 2023 Raum Kingdom, all rights reserved.
