In Messenger, you’re allowed to send videos back and forth between your contacts. These videos can be up to 25MB in size and can are downloadable on any device. This is unlike Facebook, which does not allow you to download videos. Now, there are a few different ways to do so, so let’s review how to save videos from Messenger. How to download a video from Messenger Downloading videos from a Messenger conversation is quick and easy. As previously mentioned, these can be up to 25MB in size, so make sure to have at least that much space free on the device downloading the video. Android & iOS (Tap-and-hold method) The first method you can use to download a video from Messenger is the tap-and-hold method. In essence, this method allows you to download any video in a Messenger conversation without even needing to play it. Open the conversation in Messenger. Long-press the video. (Tap and hold.) From the options that appear, select Save video. Android & iOS (Download button) The other way to download a video from Messenger is to do so from within the video. This method requires you to actually open the video up and start playing it. Open the conversation in Messenger. Tap the video to start playing it. Make sure to full-screen it. Tap the Download button near the playback bar at the bottom. Desktop Go to the Facebook website in your browser and, in the conversation, locate the video you wish to download. Start playing the video, then open it into full-screen. Click the Download icon in the top-right of the video.
