It's safe to say that boredom is one of the most important topics in sobriety. The fear of being considered boring either keeps you from trying sobriety altogether or drives you back to the booze bus after a few quiet sober nights in! It is our mission at Sober Awkward to prove that sobriety is NOT boring! Filling your life with authentic connections and new passions instead of hangovers and kebabs is infinitely less dull! It's time to reassess what 'boring' means and consider why you are...

Vic delves into the history of the gay bar and find out why bars can feel like a safe haven for the community, sometimes the only place to feel...

Anxiety is a very common problem. In fact, 30% of people will suffer from a bout of anxiety at some point in their lives.... and Vic is one of them In todays episode Vic tries to work out if past feelings of panic were 100% caused by drinking or was it her body crying out for help? And Hamish reflects on hangovers, the feeling of humiliation after black outs and (for some weird reason) a fear of buttons. It might sound like a load of old rubbish, and it's certainly no Huberman, but somehow...

We are all too familiar with the scenario...you are feeling a little nervous going into a social event so you pre-drink or get so drunk at the party that you end up topless dancing on one of the tables with your mate's auntie. Alcohol it appears gave us confidence. It turned introverts into extroverts, and extroverts into the life and soul of the party. Is this actually true though?! Too many of us struggle to find our confidence in our sobriety. As a result, we go out and less and less,...
