To the point, balanced and honest.
The reviews by Brandon & Carter stand out for several reasons. Time: in 30mins they present all aspects of the featured game - it’s to the point - but always interesting. I much prefer this format to the 150+ min board game podcasts. Balanced: on games they love they spend time highlighting the what they love and point out that if the mechanisms in the game don’t appeal to you then the game may not be for you. Conversely if they don’t enjoy a game they detail the reasons. Honest: it never feels like a game is being pushed or advertised - the reviewers sometimes agree to disagree and I get a good idea of what games I’d like.

Really enjoying the shows and yours discussions! Insightful and well thought out. Look forward to your reviews of Arkham Horror the card game, Terraforming Mars and Roll Player. Try Gloomhaven with 2 players for a real treat as well ! Keep up the great work!

This is a great podcast looking at many popular board games. They tend to speak to the games from a solo perspective but most games are multiplayer with a solo variant. So it’s definitely worth listening to even if you aren’t a solo gamer.
