Progressives: the salt of the earth
SouthLake pod cast is a raw and realistic presentation of the conservative (supporting status quo) & progressive (embracing change) positions as it reveals itself in the issues of racial & sexual diversity. The hosts and editors have shown excellence in journalistic integrity. This is the required basis for insight into fundamental truths. We all need to remember as defined above, none of us should identify as strictly CONSERVATIVE or PROGRESSIVE. When an issue is presented, like the initial defacing of monuments with racial epithets, the problem solving process requires an openness to change (progressive) to find a solution. As one would expect from a well educated community with clear excellence in their public schools, this is their overwhelming reaction in this Texas town. They created the CCAP plan to reinforced the existing student code of conduct. But as the conservative impulse, designed to cast a critical eye on the new plan, gets started it gets derailed into tribal (political) conservative talking point - Critical Race Theory & Reverse Discrimination. Lost was the original need, reminding ourselves of what our belief in nurturing a multiracial Democratic society requires.

It is very disturbing how those in the office were not even bothered to return calls from the journalists. How do you have a conversation when you just confine yourself in your echo chamber?

Thank you for bringing this to light. This type of behavior goes on in so many school districts.

After years of demanding change in this town, I am glad this story is coming to light. But deeply saddened to hear it is happening elsewhere.
