Description
Ian hosted Geoff Pontes of Baseball America to preview the upcoming MLB Draft! Ian and Geoff started by comparing how the 2024 draft class stacks up to past years and discussing why the offensive numbers in the college game were so extreme this year. They then talked about the strengths and weaknesses of the draft class and some options for the Red Sox, including high school shortstops Bryce Rainer and Konor Griffin, East Carolina right-hander Trey Yesavage, North Carolina center fielder Vance Honeycutt, Tennessee second baseman Christian Moore, Florida State third baseman Cam Smith and Kentucky outfielder Ryan Waldschmidt. They wrapped by discussing which of the players projected to go in the top 10 have the best chance of falling to 12 and who the top Northeast players are in the class. Got something to say?
