A Little Jung, and Some Added Unnecessary Quackery
Loved loved loved the interviews with Jungian analysts. However, the “Quarantine Series” makes no sense at all. You’ve captured the attention of folks interested in Jung (hence, the podcast title), and are now interviewing arrogant astrological quacks who claim (with absolutely zero evidence) to be able to do things like predict the future, and who have no credibility in any scientific field whatsoever - yet repeatedly claim to be a “scientist” in the interview. SoJ interviews used to start by asking the interviewee how they came to be an analyst, and sometimes discussion about what training was like. Maybe the same can be done with folks who have expertise in . . . Fortune Telling? Someone knowledgeable about Jung’s work in the paranormal would recognize where and why he “pulled back” from certain subject matters or refused to make definitive claims about certain phenomena. Starfire Tor is the perfect example of what gives Jungians (unjustifiably) a bad name. (I should note that I LOVED the interview with Rick Levine - an astrologer worthy of immense respect because he knows when people are taking these ideas into the realm of delusion and how to keep them embedded properly in context.) If you want to offer suggestions or polite critiques to Laura via email or Facebook - spare yourself. She responds very defensively, and will apparently block you for even the gentlest remark.

The interviews are super interesting, Laura has her own style - being both personal and a good listener. She has also read the books the interviewers are talking about and have written.

This is truly an excellent podcast. Just what the world needed. And in typical jungian fashion, I found it right when I needed it. Thank you. Scott Laidler
