Not what I was expecting
I was really excited for a show that pulled apart and analysed in depth our weird, macabre, and slightly off-putting obsession with true crime. Instead, this was just a description of different true crime genres, with cases discussed through other podcasts/TV shows/films rather than the cases themselves (taking these second hand sources as gospel) and then 5 minutes at the end going ‘oh yeah but isn’t it weird that we’re so obsessed with this’. I wanted less gawking at the cases we all know and more actual analysis of the psychology behind society’s true crime fad.

No shade, but talented writers don’t automatically translate into great speakers / podcast hosts. Content is intriguing, just wish this was voiced by someone else. The delivery is super distracting.
