“As a woman in sports media and huge basketball fan, I was excited to listen to a woman-hosted podcast about the NBA/WNBA. I was so let down by Spinsters.
“They’re a fun team to watch” type of analysis. “Best smile,” and horoscope talk is not compelling. Frankly, this podcast plays into the stereotypes women in sports have been tying to shed and I’m concerned you’re setting women back in the industry. I’ll be listening to podcasts that actually discusses the game with nuance. I don’t need the same insights I could get from my drunk aunt who watches a game a week.”
