Spoons, Snails, and Community with Oren Hetzroni
Listen now
Description
In this episode, I talk with Oren Hetzroni (@hetzronio), a product designer and Spoon carver from Israel. After studying design, Oren initially started woodturning before he discovered the work of Robinwood (@robinwoodcraft). This led him into the world of Greenwood, where he continues to this day. Oren carves amazing spoons and also teaches the craft to others. He hosts weekly carving gatherings at his homestead and also organizes a yearly event called Festikaf (http://festikaf.co.il/) Oren is also active on the virtual spoon carving site Rise Up and Carve (riseupandcarve.com), a platform where anyone can join, ask questions, and meet others from around the world with the similar interest of Greenwood carving. I’m very grateful I had the chance to speak with Oren today, and I hope you enjoy listening!
