Love everything but the politics
I really do enjoy pretty much everything about this podcast: the guests, the content, the banter, etc. However, Jimmy seems to embrace every opportunity possible to remind people what he thinks of every political/social issue, which is a huge turnoff. I don’t listen to a sports media podcast to hear the host’s opinion about hot button issues. Jimmy mentions opposition to his views that he reads on social media, which seems to rev him up even more to talk about these things. My question for Jimmy: if your ultimate goal is, let’s say, for more people to take the Covid vaccine, do you think condescendingly lecturing them is the ideal way to do that? Also, not everyone who disagrees with you is an idiot troll. And this is coming from someone who personally couldn’t stand Trump. We have ten million places we can go to listen to political opinions. If Jimmy continues to force his into these podcasts, there will ultimately come a point where it’s not worth it for me to listen anymore. And maybe he’s fine with that. But I’d prefer to continue listening because I think the content is amazing.
