Dr. Grant Tinsley is an Associate Professor and Director of the Energy Balance & Body Composition Laboratory at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He earned his Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Exercise Nutrition from Baylor University after completing bachelor’s degrees in Nutritional Sciences and Physiology at Oklahoma State University, as well as a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University. He is also a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) through the International Society of Sports Nutrition and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS,*D) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His current research interests are the critical evaluation of body composition assessment techniques, the influence of intermittent fasting on resistance training adaptations, and sports nutrition strategies to improve performance and body composition. Dr. Tinsley has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and directed 16 externally supported projects.
