Factually Incorrect
In episode 5, the show says that the 2008 Jets “knocked off the Patriots, the reigning Super Bowl champions.” THAT’S WRONG. The 2008 Patriots were not the reigning Super Bowl champs. More to the point, that’s a VERY BASIC fact for a sports podcast. If the show is getting such a simple, and indisputable fact wrong, what other less obvious facts does it have wrong? I get that mistakes happen, but this is a big one, and too obvious for a sports podcast.

Classic wondery podcast - great topic but the podcast is marred by corny re-enactments of conversations, no interviews of anyone who was there, and not enough real sound bites/primary sources. Overall we end up with too much cheesiness in what would otherwise be a 5 star topic.

The story could be entertaining, and I like the topic in theory, but the narrator comes off a bit like a B rate actor and it’s difficult to get past.
