“I did not expect much from this podcast, besides some vapid fan-girling. However, I do reasonably expect the girls to do at least the bear minimum in research, something I think is owed to the culture, the industry and certainly the boys. Particularly in regards to their discussion of depression. It is horribly insulting to bring up any members, any person’s depression as a minor characteristic that gives them depth and worldliness.
Additionally mention of depression and it’s issue in Korea society is extremely ignorant considering the exclusion its previous influence on the culture and the industry in particular. It raises the question if that craters of this podcast are even aware that the industry lost one of the more influential songwriters, and a close friend of the boys, just over a month ago to depression considering their insultingly lighthearted discussion. The boys are extremely lucky in their freedom to discuss such issues and mental health in general, a freedom very few of their colleges have, don’t detract from their work and their message, as well as other idols’ and advocates’ by negating their struggles this way.”
