The Pod Directive - highlight of my drives to and from work !
I was introduced to the podcast when my wife heard about it on another show she follows … I have binged season one and two of this series in the last two weeks - and have told several of my friends who also watch the series and movies to look for the show and star following / listening! My first experience with Trek was the movie version - and it was a bit of a complicated journey as I was a fan of Dr. Who and Star Wars as well in those days … I got back into Star Trek with the Next Generation - the first episode I saw was Time’s Arrow part 1 (season 5 finale) with my 8 year old nephew - I then started being a Trek fan wholeheartedly and followed all the series including (TOS) from then on. My favourite series is DS9 (Avery Brooks was so awesome and Armin Shimerman actually made me appreciate Ferengis) but I enjoy them all equally - in fact my wife fed our first child in those early months with TNG in the background 😁 I have been to many conventions in Toronto in the last 15 years - and had the chance for a photo op with many of the Star Trek alumni - highlighted by Avery Brooks, John de Lancie, and Sir Patrick Stewart! Ms. Newsome - I will also now commit to Lower Decks - which I haven’t watched- based on the enthusiasm you both have for this series. Please keep on with the good work - looking forward to season 3 and beyond ! Geoff Goering

Thoughtful discussions about the layered meanings of different Star Trek episodes (across all series) and how it’s affected the hosts and their guests throughout their lives. Loving it so far. Request: start an Instagram page and solicit fan questions and anecdotes.
