Helpful in troubling times
Massimo Pigliucci’s podcast on stoicism has been a great help and balm during the disruption to my life that has been the covid-19 pandemic. Stoicism is a way of thinking and living that is designed to help us in times of great distress (though it can be a great help at other times as well). Pigliucci reads and then reflects on some of the key writings and lessons of the ancient stoics, updating them and making them relevant to contemporary life as well as making them approachable and comprehensible to the non-philosopher. Highly recommended.
