Reimagining Our Representation
Listen now
Description
In this episode, Tracy shares her reflections about her visit to the exhibition of globes, organised and inspired by ‘The World Reimagined’ Charity. As she is inspired by the range of artistic interpretations of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, Tracy asks questions about how the exhibition and discovery trails have helped to further promote the experiences of the African and Caribbean society as part of mainstream culture here in the UK. Tracy also asks how the diaspora can learn from this artistic movement to ‘reimagine’ moving forward in taking more control of how they want to be represented through the eyes of others and to themselves.
