Ghana and the Chocolate Factory
Listen now
Description
March is the month to celebrate Ghana's independence. Tracy DW remembers this event by exploring another opportunity for the country to gain a 'second independence' through their vision to expand their processing and manufacturing of cocoa.  Tracy asks whether Ghana is able to build the capacity needed to take on the Europeans and build the ultimate 'Chocolate Factory' using a classic but simple analysis model to do this. 'History is...a matter of fact or perspective?' School Leader and author of the 'Stories to be tolled' poetic narratives, Tracy DW attempts to explore this question through her podcast series. By inviting you to share her learning journey through discussing evidence about a range of historical topics and inviting you the listener to reflect on potential answers, Tracy DW advocates a more global approach to understanding history and presents learning about Britain's colonial past in a way that is thought provoking and engaging. Visit Stories to be tolled  and check out the learning platforms, mini-documentaries, stories and alternative history art gallery.
