Born into poverty, ridiculed by school mates but with a head full of ideals, Yashpal youth was marked with conflict and strife. It was when he met Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev in college that his life took a definitive purposeful turn and he jumped headlong into the freedom struggle, albeit of the violent kind.
