Great story analysis as always
Great great series, dissecting pieces of common pop culture, Pixar films. I came at this after listening to Alastair's Star Wars series, so I was familiar with the concept of analyzing the story independent of the love or experience. Wall-E went a little off the rails with Lani's disgust with the film overpowering any analytical discussion. Some of the subsequent casts got more on track but the tone broke a little there. However, just like with Pixar, the magic was strong enough to get me through and I felt enriched for the journey. Just as with all StoryWonk podcasts, I am left excited and interested in what comes next!

They seem to forget that these are movies for children. They don't care that Kevin the bird in Up magically appears on the roof. You can't judge kids movies with an adult eye and expect perfection. Kids movies are much more forgiving because kids don't think like adults.
