A luta continua –Portuguese for the struggle continues was the rallying cry of the FRELIMO movement during Mozambique’s war for independence. Popularized by Miriam Makeba, better known as Mama Africa, a South African singer, songwriter, actress, United Nations goodwill ambassador, and civil rights activist.
