In this episode, stroke fellow, Shalene Amin, sits down with Dr. Jennifer Beauchamp, Associate Professor at the UT Health Cizik School of Nursing in the Department of Research to discuss post-stroke depression and anxiety. She is also the Lead Investigator of the University of Texas System Health Biobank Consortium and the director of the Mental Health Program of the UTHealth Stroke Institute. She emphasizes the importance of developing effective behavioral interventions, social supports, and therapies so that we can improve the management, education, and support services for stroke survivors and their informal caregivers.
