“No one gets it when I say Joe Burrow is a “Field General”. People say he’s the same as Danny Etling, and yes their numbers are similar, but Etling had LF#7 and DG#5 on his team and a veteran OLine and 2yrs with LSU. Burrow had 3 months and then bam Miami Aurburn UGA... Danny Etling was the best of a group of LSU QB that were bad or non factor QBs becz they were PASSENGERS of bad LSU offensive scheme. Joe Burrow in his short time has been a DRIVER of his LSU offense. It’s a mental confidence and situational awareness that just allows him to play with stone cold composure. That’s his best attribute. His Composure and his Balls. Danny just had no balls so he and LSUs Offense were never a threat.
But you’re right that’s not enough for the NFL... He could make a good coach tho.
