Met hun protestacties op de A12 heeft Extinction Rebellion het onderwerp ‘fossiele subsidies’ bij een groot publiek op de agenda gekregen. Wat? Subsidies voor fossiel? Afschaffen! Maar zo zwart-wit als het wordt voorgesteld, is het niet. Johannes Bollen deed al in de jaren negentig onderzoek naar klimaatbeleid, emissiehandel en de economische impact. Jarenlang was hij verbonden aan het CPB en sinds kort aan TNO. Een gesprek over de zin en onzin van fossiele subsidies.
