“I can’t remember where I found this podcast but it was either TikTok or Instagram and I really loved the positive and purposeful nature of the creator.
The podcasts themselves aren’t bad. They aren’t reinventing the wheel but sometimes just having someone who is such a go-getter pump you up in an up beat way can do wonders for your own motivation. I’ve learnt a few new ways to do things (like using Asana) and find the creators way of explaining things very helpful.
However, what has really put me off is the constant selling of her courses/planner/ mentor programme. I get you use this podcast to generate leads- lots of other creators do too. They are just way more subtle about it. Normally added at the beginning or end of a podcast. It’s so grating to have a great nugget of information be lost because the creator is trying to relate it to something she is selling. It’s a bit like that character from American Pie with their “This one time at Band Camp” antidotes. It’s so distracting and such a shame as it comes across a bit MLM.
Other podcasters, like The Diary of a CEO , has a planner. It was causally mentioned and then not constantly referred to in the episodes. This podcast could be a five star podcast without this overselling.”
