HOW TO DO FRUGAL FEBRUARY: 1. Use a separate savings account - $0 STARTING ACCOUNT BALANCE 2. Nickname it - Frugal February Savings 3. Look at your budget – what you can cut down/cut out for this month - brainstorm a list Examples – pause gym membership, go vegetarian for the month, quit alcohol, make coffee at home, take lunch to work, switch social activities. Use public transport instead of driving. Call up my providers 4. Every time you save money – you immediately transfer that money ON THE SPOT, into your “Frugal February” account 5. Look at it each morning AND night, see it quickly adding up will motivate and inspire you to keep going and give you new ideas to save more. 6. You cannot spend that money until the end of February! You can put the money towards your: Debt goals Savings goals Investing goals Retirement goals Lifestyle goal 7. Own Frugal February with pride! Tell others what you are doing and what you want to do with your savings. This will help others understand why you may need to do things differently and you may end up inspiring others to join you.
